The robotic system of Franka Production 3 consists of a robotic arm and its control. The force-sensitive, flexible robotic arm features 7 DOFs, torque sensors at each joint, and an industrial-grade attitude repeatability error rate of +/-0.1 mm, maintaining minimal trajectory deviation even at high speeds. It has a payload of 3 kg, an arm span of up to 855 mm, and a workspace coverage of 94.5%
Franka Emika’s Hand is a 2-finger jaw with replaceable fingertips that is fully integrated with Franka Production 3’s software, making it also pluggable and easy to use. The gripper is easily replaceable and is suitable for a wide range of objects that need to be grasped, such as using a 3D printed fingertip.

FCI
FCI bypasses robot control, allowing researchers to run their own control algorithms at 1kHz on an external computer running in real time. It is the ideal interface for exploring low-level planning and control schemes.
